It’s well known that Core pins are under high thermal stress during the casting process and, especially in the core pins of small diameter, they suffer frequent breakings besides other problems as sticking, adherences to the casting metal besides other problems.
Around the core pins there are problematic points where porosity can appear on the finished part due to shrinkage.Through the development of technology on the last years, those not desired situations can be minimized.
The Jet Cooling technology offer the die caster the possibility to control the temperature on the critical areas. This technology minimize the possibility of shrinkage porosity problems in the areas around the core pins as well as other problems as adherences and erosion on the core pins.
